TOUR IN SHORT DETAILS 

 

01st Day :  Transfer from the Menara Airport in Marrakech - 10 Km.

Meeting at Menara airport and transfer by private bus to Marrakech, accommodation in a Riad/Hotel in the medina center of Marrakech with BB breakfast. Overnight in Riad in Marrakech with bed & breakfast BB (with breakfast).

02end Day : Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou / Telouet / Ouarzazate - 190 KM.
We leave the romantic red city of Marrakech by bus and between a bend and some rare village perched on the slopes we reach the high pass of Tizin 'Tichka (2260 M). Our ride begins there, an evocative journey with little traffic that offers a view of majestic rocks worked by time. The road almost always downhill leads us to the village of TELOUET located in a hollow surrounded by the mountains of the great Atlas, luxuriant with vegetation and delightful views. This site owes its fame to the ancient and splendid Kasbah, residence of the Pasha el Glaoui. In the vicinity of the village there are salt mines. We always continue downhill up to 10 km before arriving at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, here we finish our section by bike for today. We will visit the delightful Kasbah, perched on the mountain, owes its international fame to the numerous film sets housed within it. We continue our journey by bus towards the city of Ouarzazate. Overnight stay in Riad in Ouarazazate with half board HB (dinner + breakfast).

03ed Day : Ait Ben Haddou - Boumalne Dadés via the valley of roses - 185 KM.
By bus we proceed towards Ouarzazate which is located at the intersection of the Draa valley with that of the Dades, effectively introducing us to the first offshoots of the Sahara desert. We continue along the Dades Valley, reaching the fortified village of El-Kelaà M’Gouna, a small town famous for the cultivation of Rosa Damaskina and the production of numerous cosmetics based on rose petals. From the town of Kelaât M’Gouna, go up towards the M’Goun valley, also called the valley of roses, until you reach Bou Thrara. From here our pedaling begins, descending the splendid valley towards El-Klaà M’Gouna, we finish our cycling walk 10 km after the town of Kelaà M’Gouna. Overnight at the hotel in boumalne Dadés with half board HB (dinner + breakfast).

• Bus transfer: about 155 km
• By bike: 30 km (75% downhill 15% uphill).

 

04th Days : Boumalne Dadés - The Todra Gorges - 120 KM. By bus we go up the Dades valley, the road climbs in the midst of fig and almond trees that give way to rocky walls of incredible shapes and colors. Everything has the color of the rock, including the houses. By bike we go back down the valley and after Boumalne Dadés we head towards the Todra gorge, located at the bottom of a valley full of palm groves and Berber villages. The cycling section ends a few kilometers earlier from the city center of Tinghir. Load up the bikes and reach the famous Todra gorge, a large fracture in the plateau that divides the High Atlas of the Jebel Sarho chain and is crossed by a river of crystal clear water. Along the waters of the river we will make a beautiful trek of about an hour that will take us to the hotel. Overnight in Kasbah in the Todra Gorges with half board HB (dinner + breakfast).

• By bike: 50 km (90% downhill 10% uphill).

 

05th  Days : The Todra Valley / Merzouga Via Rissani and Erfoud - 250 KM. After our breakfast we leave by bus in the direction of Ait Hani, via the national road n ° R 703. Arrival in Ait Hani, from here our pedaling today begins, we descend the valley again in the direction of the Todra gorges, a easy and very flat stretch of about 50 KM, through the villages of the High Atlas. Visit to the village of Tamtattouchte. Our bike ride ends in Tinghir. By bus we head towards the Tafilalet region, known for its oases. Visit to the ancient water supply system in Jorf. Arrival in Merzouga, accommodation in Bivouaco, at 5:30 pm departure on the back of a dromedary to watch the spectacular sunset over the Erg-Chebbi dunes, (excursion of about 02 hours). Overnight in a private tent in Merzouga with half board HB (dinner + breakfast).

• Bus transfer: about 200 km

• By bike: 50 km easy. (80% flat stretch / 1300 M).

 

06th  Days : Merzouga - Nekob via Alnife - 230 KM.

By bus we reach the city of Rissani, we will visit the MOULAY CHERI Mausoleum, founder of the Alaouite dynasty and continue by bike for a beautiful circular tour of about 35 km, along the route of the 1000 Kasbahs. Upon our return to Rissani, a short visit to the city market, a visit to the ancient shopping center of SIJILMASSA. Today includes lunch in Rissani based on Moroccan pizza with mint tea (the specialty of the city). After our lunch we continue the bus journey towards the village of N'kob. Overnight in Kasbah in N'Kob with half board HB (dinner + breakfast).

07th Days : Return to Marrakech via the Draà valley - 310 KM.

By bus departure in the direction of OUARZAZATE. We cross the red mountain of Jebel-Saghro to the Draà Valley, surrounded by a large oasis of palm trees. Visit of the village of AGDEZ and the pretty Kasbah of TAMGHOULTE. Upon arrival in the city of Marrakech, visit the Menara gardens. (the visit to Marrakech will be done on foot). Overnight stay in hotel in Marrakech with half board HB (dinner + breakfast)

• Transfer by bus: 310 KM

• Transfer by bike: 00 KM.

 

08th Days : Marrakech / Airport - 10 KM. After our first breakfast, a short visit to the historic city of Marrakech. Of greatest interest is the old part of the city with its Medina, its main historic buildings, the Medersa "Alì Ben Youssef", the El-Badi palace, the covered souk where we can admire all forms of craftsmanship, textiles, wrought iron, the coloring of wool, the processing of wood, leather, ceramics, silver. Visit to the famous Djemaa el-Fna square, an outdoor stage where small entertainments and various curiosities take place at any time of the day, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle Blue Gardens, a small oasis of plants grown with extreme care, inside you can visit the permanent museum of Berber culture (the visit of the city of Marrakech will be done on foot). After our visit to the city, transfer to the Ménara airport in Marrakech, and have a good trip, with the hope of having offered you a journey full of emotions and unforgettable memories, we greet you and thank you for the trust you have placed in us.
